SOTA presents “Lost Children”, a special project by Gianni Politi and Litografia Bulla for Visione Telaio.
How do you abandon a bike? Leaving it locked up on the street as if you were going to take it back, but instead you won’t. If it’s not stolen, the bike quickly turns into an urban fossil. A steel skeleton that becomes part of the gaze and gets lost in the eyes of each of us. But staring closely at the fossil, as if it were a whale skeleton on the beach, so many questions pop up in our head. The steel fossil is the mirror of men’s skeleton. The bike is the person. The dead bike is a living person; the dead bike is a dead person. We keep on walking, leaving the fossil behind, thinking to ourselves that ‘no dick is as hard as life is’.
On view at SOTA from May 24th.
